OBD port Location

I have an A4 Quattro 1996 Right hand drive but can't find the OBD port to plug in a scanner can anyone help. Is it behind a panel

Look underneith/on the dash by the drivers side kick panel down by your left foot.

I just noticed you're '96 too.  Bananas mentioned that some older A4s had the OBD connector at the rear of the center armrest, under the removable ashtray.
