everyone that has installed one of those that i know has used the pinout diagram that you can find in the bentley manual to find which sensors you connect the haltech unit to.

Sorry,, newbie question---- What is a bentley manual??? Where can i buy/order one??

I decided to go haltech for 2 reasons....
1- i got it for 500 bucks from my cousin
2- i needed to go standalone because it seems that no one has programs over the counter for my application, the guys that i found can give me a custom program wanted 900 bucks and i would have needed to upgrade that program everytime i modded the car.

There are better systems out there for sure, i went with this one because it was available to me,,, it also opens up alot of flexibility of choice with injectors, throttle bodies, ignition,,etc

I'll write you a file.  you have a 50 trim or a 57 trim?  .48 or .63 hot a/r?  what injectors and fuel rail pressure?  93 octane w/ fmic?  sounds like you're in over your head w/ the haltech, no offense

it's only my second time going standalone,,,, it's my first audi,,, and as for turbo specifics- i don't know because i just bought the car with it on..

Definately not in over my head though. I've had a couple of 11sec cars, 4-5 12 sec cars, and have owned and modded everything from mustangs, to dsm's to 12a/13b rotary. I'm online doing research before i spend the bucks-- that's just being prudent. No offense taken, i've read months worth of posts so far on az,af,vw vortex,vw sport and a bunch of other sites. One thing that seems to be a common denominator is that when one guy shoots big, or wants to put down numbers-- all the "keyboard warriors" go into attack mode,,,,lol.
I will take my time with this project, i will share what mods i'm planning and decide on. And i won't be afraid to admit when i'm wrong.

I'd love for you to help me write a program. By the time i'm finnished i'll be running a::
 tubular manifold
 full 3" exhaust
1.8 forged bottom with arp everything
hybrid turbo (gt32/40 or a holset 35/40x --over 70 lbs/min with full boost under 4500)
 1000cc low imp. injectors
 75 mm throttle body
 sheetmetal intake manifold
 profec boost controller (32lbs)
wet shot jetted for 75hp (can you write me a program with a window of 2800-6800rpm??)
 e/t streets

hopefully you can also set-up anti-lag/stutterbox for 5200 rpm?

and of course a nice part throttle with a target a/f ratio of 15-16/1 !!!!

I'm going 10's fellas.

I'm going to go ahead and give you some constructive criticism

Quote
hybrid turbo (gt32/40 or a holset 35/40x --over 70 lbs/min with full boost under 4500)
Off of 1781cc a gt32 is not going to make full boost under 4500rpm let alone a 32/40.

Quote
1000cc low imp. injectors
audi motronic uses saturated injectors.  wasn't sure if you were looking to use a resistor box or if haltech has a peak/hold injector function

Quote
wet shot jetted for 75hp (can you write me a program with a window of 2800-6800rpm??)
n2o would be controlled by a window switch; msd, nos, nx, etc. all have a few

Quote
hopefully you can also set-up anti-lag/stutterbox for 5200 rpm?
haltech should have a launch control option, i know 034 efi 2c does.  it will shorten the life of your turbo though

Quote
and of course a nice part throttle with a target a/f ratio of 15-16/1
why, to help spool the turbo?  16:1 will ping under light load

Quote
tubular manifold
try full-race's tubular.

seems like you've got a lot of planning ahead of you.  How was the car running with the t3/t4 and tap software?

well the car runs like doggy poop now,,,, airflow meter is bad,,, check engine light was on (n75 valve was missing),,, turbo gaskets are leaking,, and it will need a clutch soon..

(I also want an s4 bumper instead of the one on the car)...

i heave alot of work to do,, it's funny you mentioned 034efi-- i've been considering giving javad a call this week to see if he can convince me that his system is better suited than the haltech... Due to the lack of support in the audi/vw community for it, i have been considering buying his system and just selling my haltech.... seems like it might be an easier path.

hey bitter!!
i tried to im you,,,

I decided to sell my car now. After all of the research, i decided to get a 6speed, a6 2.7t instead. During the time i researched this car i spoke to alot of interesting people and got alot of info on this platform. I've met with guys that made 450awhp and recently have been in contact with chris over at tapp ( who just made 510rwhp!!!). Basically, i decided to go with the larger car for the interior room (i'm 6ft 6inches). Even though i have the car running crisp and clean now, i think i fell in love with the red/tan interior 6speed that i test drove over the weekend.

I'm looking to sell it for $7500 or best offer. Leaving all the goodies in the car!!
t3/t4 garret 50trim
hks ssq bov
atp manifold
teal 38mm wastegate
2.5 inch full exhaust
front mount intercooler
neuspeed springs
etc,etc.

to go 11's this car will need fuel, ems, and a nice clutch!

a6 2.7t is a good choice.  A lot of the 2.7s are stuck at 420ish awhp.  You're going to have to figure out where the bottleneck is.  You've got a bit more room to work w/ the a6 but its still a lot of fabrication

much like the a4's, the bottleneck has always been the ecu. I will be going standalone for that project as well.

upgrade turbos, 75# injectors, full exhaust, front mount, etc

should be fun.

Yes the GST is up for sale, but not to buy a Evo8. I already bought another car to replace the eclipse. No reason for an evo8 anyway, I have my Audi and my friend down the street owns a 540 whp evo8.
